WELCOME! WE ARE SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE SEEKING TO HAVE YOUR CHILD BAPTISED.

Infant baptisms are for all children from newborn to aged 6. They are sometimes a joint celebration in the Parish with up to four families having children baptised on the same day at a beautiful, personal and happy ceremony.

Baptisms take place at a pre-arranged time, usually on Sundays at 12pm, throughout the year, this must be confirmed with the Parish Office prior to making any personal arrangements.

Baptism Preparation Class

A preparation class is held periodically throughout the year to which parents of children being baptised are required to attend.

What if my child is aged 7 or older?

For children who are age 7 or older, they are capable of knowing right and wrong and therefore need to have a rudimentary grasp of the Catholic Faith before receiving the Sacrament of Baptism.

If your child is aged 7 or above and you wish to have them Baptised, they will need to join the First Holy Communion programme. The First Holy Communion programme usually starts in October and the First Holy Communion Mass (preceded by the baptism) takes place in about May or June.  Please contact the Parish Office for further advice.
